This is a vest pattern designed to fit a teddy bear made with Jean Greenhowe’s “Traditional Favourites” pamphlet (see https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/jeans-teddy-bears).

The vest will fit best if you knit it using the same type of yarn and same gauge that you used for the teddy bear. For example, in the photo I knitted both the bear and the vest in Hayfield Bonus DK on US 4 needles.

The vest is knitted on straight needles in three pieces and then is seamed together.

Skills required include cast on, cast off, decreases, and mattress stitch.
