The mittens feature a classic cuff in 1×1 rib, followed by a smooth stockinette hand section that highlights the boucle’s texture. The thumb stitches are placed on hold and worked afterward, ensuring a simple, continuous construction with minimal finishing.
These mittens are designed to be comfortable and elastic, fitting a women’s medium size, with easy options to adjust the length for longer or shorter hands. The rounded fingertip shaping makes both mittens identical, meaning there’s no need to knit separate right and left versions.

Womens size medium.
Length can be customized to fit longer hands/fingers, and width is elastic due to the stretch of the fabric.

GAUGE
Gauge can be difficult to measure with boucle yarn, so focus on overall size rather than exact counts.
15 sts x 24 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm after blocking.
Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.
