Teddy Boucle Sweater
OVERVIEW
This cozy raglan jacket combines the texture of Drops Bouclé with the structure of Drops Nepal for a warm, plush fabric, giving it the deserving name Teddy, as it will feel like you’re wrapped in a teddy bear. The result is a soft yet durable outer layer with an organic surface and sturdy shape. The jacket is knit top-down, with a folded collar, raglan shaping, and a front zipper closure. It includes optional short row shaping.
There’s quite a bit going on at the top of the zipper: joining the body at the right length for the zipper, shaping the neckline with German short rows (optional), and working the raglan increases. The pattern gives you step by step instructions, and tells you exactly when and how to do each part.

GAUGE & TIPS FOR KNITTING WITH BOUCLÉ
Bouclé garn can make it difficult to see stitches, so:
Gently pull the fabric apart to see stitch definition.
Insert your needle deeper into the stitch loop to avoid catching the texture.
When counting raglan increases, count stitches on one half of the front piece, then subtract your starting count to find how many increases you’ve done.
Example: If you started with 16 sts and now have 26 sts, you’ve made 10 increases.
