Pattern
Tekla sweater is knitted top down with a positive ease of approx. 10-15 cm / 4-6 inches. You start by knitting the collar, with 2x2 ribbing, then fold in half, and join with the cast on edge. You are now going to shape the neckline by using German short rows. The sweater is knitted in one piece, and the increases are made on the shoulders, that later will be extended for sleeves. Tekla sweater is designed to have a boxy, cropped fit and a wide upright collar. The ribbing at the bottom, is split by knitting flat, and the frontside of the sweaters ribbing is knitted shorter than the backside. The sleeves are knitted in the round, either on circular needles, using the magic loop technique, or with double pointed needles.
