Join me in creating a temperature comforter recording the high temperature of the day, each day of the year. At the end of the year, you will have a queen-sized comforter, complete with scalloped edges and fringe. What will your year look like?

The following YouTube tutorial is provided as support to get started on this afghan: Temperature Comforter CAL.

I will be using Caron Simply Soft in the following twelve colors:

  • White #9701: less than 0°F
  • Orchid #9719: 0-10°F
  • Grape #9610: 11-20°F
  • Cobalt Blue #9784: 21-30°F
  • Cool Green #9770: 31-40°F
  • Pistachio #0003: 41-50°F
  • Sunshine #9755: 51-60°F
  • Mango #9605: 61-70°F
  • Persimmon #9754: 71-80°F
  • Fuchsia #9764: 81-90°F
  • Passion #0012: 91-100°F
  • Plum Perfect #9761: greater than 100°F

Approximately 35 yds. (32 m) are needed for each day/row.

As an option, to add a little sparkle, hold silver sewing thread together with the yarn on rainy or snowy days!

There are five different rows for the comforter. Each day is listed with the pattern to use on that day and space provided to record the day’s high temperature.

There is no foundation ch and no weaving in of ends for this pattern!

This is a FREE pattern and is written in U.S. terms.
