Pattern Inspiration:
This pattern was inspired by the name and beautiful colors in the sock set Cheryl gave me! I knew I wanted to create a spring-y shawlette that was perfect for wearing all year round. The stitches remind me of tulips, too! The pattern is written for both sock weight and DK weight sock sets. See specific yardages below. A full photo tutorial is included in addition to the written instructions! The shawlette is worked tip to tip, increasing and decreasing along one edge. The edging is added at the end.

Basic Information:
Pattern is written in US crochet terms.
Yarn: Fingering/sock (weight 1) - approximately 480 yards (400 yards MC, 80 yards CC). I used Chronicles of Cheryl sock yarn in the color Tender Tulips. DK weight (weight 3) - approximately 300 yards (250 yards MC, 50 yards CC). I used a DK sock set from Chronicles of Cheryl in the color Ember Island.
Hook: Fingering weight - 3.5 mm, DK weight - 5 mm, or size needed to meet gauge.
Finished size: Fingering weight - after blocking, 59” long, 14.5” deep. DK weight - after blocking, 51” long, 14” deep. See finishing instructions for more details.
Gauge: Fingering weight - after blocking, 9 clusters (including the stitches between them) = 4” wide, 9 rows = 4” tall. DK weight - after blocking, 6 clusters (including the stitches between them) = 4” wide, 6 rows = 4” tall. See pages 5 and 12 for gauge swatch instructions.

Note: The DK yardages are TIGHT. Be sure to watch your gauge closely, or have extra yarn available.
