This pattern is written sideways, building cloth from left to right. The small challenge of the slipped stitches is to remember to hold the yarn behind the knitting while slipping while on the right side of the cloth. On the odd numbered rows, hold knitting yarn behind work is notated as “YB, SL1, YF, PM/SM”. On the backside of cloth, slip the stitches after the placed marker. After the fourth time a stitch is slipped (twice on the right side and twice on the back side, marker is removed.
