Made as a cotton dish cloth, but can be used as an afghan square. Gauge is for a flexible fit. I suggest using smaller needles (especially if you knit loosely) to make the purl stitches pop.

I used Bernal Handicrafter cotton - one ball was enough, but any cotton yarn should work. Single colors are easier to see the pattern.
