Textured Panels 2 Baby Blanket is another fun and easy baby blanket pattern for those occasions when you want a lighter weight blanket.
It is appropriate for knitters who enjoy simple knits and purls, with impressive results!

This pattern combines horizontal panels of several simple textured stitches - including 2 different basketweave stitch patterns, and a beaded rib stitch pattern.
Garter stitch edging is knit along with the blanket, so no finishing is required (other than weaving in your ends, and blocking).
The blanket is reversible, and attractive on both sides.

Materials required include 600-650 yds worsted weight yarn, and size 8 circular needles, 24” - 32” length.

Recommended Gauge is 4.5 stitches = 1” in stockinette stitch.
Although the blanket is knit in textured stitches, gauge information is provided in stockinette stitch, for ease in substituting yarns, and/or determining appropriate sized needles.
Change needle size as necessary, to achieve correct gauge and/or a fabric that you like.
Since this is a blanket, exact gauge is not critical. It will, however, affect the finished size and amount of yarn used.

Sample was knit using 3 skeins of Berroco Vintage,
color 51190/Cerulean.

Required skills include casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off.

Enjoy knitting this pattern, and please post photos of your finished blankets!
