It is surprising how similar traditional dress styles are, however and wherever they originate. This simple pattern replicates the style, perfect for special events or costumes. As the pattern is written the bonnet will fit an adult, however you could easily resize it to be bigger or smaller by using different yarn/needles, e.g. 4 ply and 3.5mm needles for a child, Chunky and 5.5mm needles for a large adult.

Worked in one piece using simple structure, you can either bind off and sew up, or complete using 3 needle bind off.

Ties can be either crocheted or plaited/twisted cord. No other crochet is required.

I love dressing up, and can’t wait to see your creations!
