The Adelaide Robinson Blouse
A feminine 1930’s inspired blouse. Named after a character from a book called “The Persued” by CS Forester. Imagined from the most beautiful description in the book of the female form.
About the pattern
This is a top down knit, seamlessly constructed. Starting with the collar and working down with increase shaping and division of sleeves and body. It has a feminine cabled waist and cuffs with romantic ruffled edging.
Sizing
The blouse should have a good amount of positive ease so it drapes and floats around the form a little and not be too tight. Hence the sizing below for the bust area. The measurements may seem large for each size but when worn, as the cabled waist and shaping draws it in, it doesn’t feel so large when worn. If you feel you would like a tighter fit around the bust area then you can opt to use smaller needles, but the design should not be too figure hugging but just gently surround your shape.
