One day I took my tired eyes outside and saw a beautiful sky.
Clouds streaked across a deepening blue, dancing a different dance at their varied heights; a conversation between elements and temperatures.

The Air Up There Shawl is my interpretation of what I saw.

It is a wide shallow crescent shaped shawl. Garter interspersed with sections of eyelets and lace make for a relatively quick, enjoyable and relaxing knit.

3.75mm 80cm circular needles
4mm needle (for cast off only, so anything will do)

90g MC – this yarn can be as restrained or as zany as you wish, it forms the body of the shawl and is the one the contrast yarns highlight.

50g CC1 – this yarn wants to be neutral and something matches one of the lighter colours in the MC, this will be used for the lace and eyelet sections.

10g CC2 – this yarn wants to be solid in a colour that matches one of the darker colours in the MC, this will be used for the bind off section.
