Puff sleeves for days! This intermediate pattern is a great way to use up partial skeins leftover from other projects. It may also be appropriate for confident beginners who wish to level up their skills. The pattern includes links to videos of sweater construction, as well as photos of the sweater in progress so you will know just what to do--no guesswork involved.

The sweater is worked from the top down, then the front and back are knit flat before joining in the round and knitting to the desired length. The set in sleeves are constructed from the top down using German Short Rows and simple increases to make the puffs. For added structure, the rolled neckline is picked up and knit at the end, but can be added to the cast on if one desires a stretchier neckline (this is a great option for dolls with larger heads).

The pattern includes two sizes: the small size (9.75” chest) fits 12.5” softbody or 15” hardbody Miniland/Minikane type dolls, the medium size (12.25” chest) fits both 15” baby dolls (such as Bitty Baby) and 18” dolls (such as American Girl, Our Generation, etc)

Needles: The entire sweater can be knit with 42” circular needles using the magic loop method, or DPNs if preferred. Depending on the size, the body may be knit with 10” or 12” circular needles.
