Crochet Golf Cap in acrylic yarn. Rows of vertical ribs interweave with horizontal ribs. The vertical ribs end in a fat pop corn stitch. I was taking my frustrations out on this design, trying to go over the top. Imagine my surprise when the darn thing came out beautiful.

The Apple Hat/Cap is also known as the 8 Quarter, Gatsby, Newsboy and Baker Boy. They all have the same basic shape and the top overhangs the brim in front like the Ivy or Golf Hat / Cap. However, the Apple and Newsboys, etc., are larger, rounder, fuller and paneled. They sometimes have a button
on top.
