This hat, worked completely in a 2x2 rib, is very stretchy! It may seem like it is worked straight, without decreases for a very long time, but a lot of this length is consumed once the hat is stretched over your head! Especially if your head circumference is on the small side, start checking the length on your head around the 6” mark. Begin crown decreases when, with the rim turned up, you have a hole about 4” in diameter. If you prefer a slouchy hat, simply work in the pattern rib without decreasing for a longer time.
