The Boat-house Baby blanket
Second pattern of The Wind in the Willows collection
The Boat-house Baby blanket is inspired by the second chapter of The Wind in the Willows, by Kenneth Grahame.
Construction
The blanket is worked in stripes that are seamed together.
Size
The pattern only includes one size but is easily adjustable if you want to make it smaller or bigger.
Finished measurements
50 cm x 70 cm (20 inches x 28 inches)
Gauge
21 stitches and 33 rows per 10 cm/4 inches, in garter stitch.
Yarn
You will need approximately 250 grams of DK weight yarn: 150 grams of the main colour and 100 grams of the secondary colour.
I used Sandnes Garn Duo (115 meters/126 yards per 50 grams) in the colourways 1015 and 6841.
Needles
Use whatever needle size you need to achieve gauge or a fabric that you like. Please note that if you don’t achieve gauge, the size of your blanket will vary.
I used 4,5mm needles/US 7.
Notions
Darning needle to seam the stripes and sew in your ends
