Udaberri means « spring » in Euskara, the language of the Basque Country which is the place that I call home.
I got the inspiration from my long springly walks, during which I would have loved to have a shawl like this one, light but still warm, just to throw over my shoulders or to have around my neck in the chilly mornings or evenings. Simple but elegant. Like the nature that surrounds me: wildflowers everywhere and a beautiful light… Lace for the flowers and comforting garter for the side panels.
The construction is very simple: the lace is worked only on the right side, and you just have to cast on 1 stitch, and to bind off 1 stitch. It’s worked from one extremity to the other.
