I took inspiration from cement tiles floors you can see in many houses built in the second part of the 19th century. Those very durable tiles covered most of transition areas and collective rooms of family homes, making easier their maintenance and both giving them some fanciness with their colored patterns, reminding nordic drawings or medieval influences…

this pair of mittens requests about 70 grams (a bit less) of light sport weight yarn in two colors (33 grams of each), plus a few meters of a third color.

the indications are given for a size M (7-71/2 “ of hand circumference), but you can get a size S or a size L by working with smaller or bigger needles.
