The Charlie shawl is inspired by one of the most romanticized periods of Scottish History, Bonnie Prince Charlie’s escape after the defeat of Culloden in 1745.

the Charlie shawl uses any 4ply yarn ( I used 2 cakes). it is a lovely generous size semicircular shawl with a double border.

You need at least 1200 meters of yarn obviously all depends on the gauge. my tension is 22 trebles x10 rows with a hook 3,5 makes a square 10cmx10cm.

the pattern contains written instructions and some photo for reference.
