The Chelwood Shawl
This shawl is knit using four colours, the 4th colour being used to add pops of colour throughout and the fringe edging.
I have knit it using a lovely sport weight yarn that combines merino with baby alpaca, giving if softness and drape.
I have also knit it using a cotton and linen mix for a summer weight shawl.
It can be knit in any weight yarn but this will alter the finished sizes.
The shawl combines panels of striped garter stitch edged with a knitted bead stitch and panels of a diamond lace stitch.
the shawl has been finished on one edge with small tassels.
