These cute stripy stockings are inspired by Santa’s Elves, with jingle bells around the cuff you’re sure to hear when Father Christmas delivers his gifts!

A stocking would make a lovely gift filled with little treats or revamp your stockings and knit one for the whole family in time for Christmas!

Knit on 5mm needles you will need around 150g of aran yarn (I used Drops Alaska, 1 skein of each colour is more than enough to knit 1 stocking) and 6 bells (approx 20mm diameter)

This is a lovely introduction to sock knitting and colourwork. Using a chunky aran yarn it’s a quick knit, you will work from the cuff down and knit a shadow wrap short row heel.
