The Coffee Shop Cup Sleeve
The Coffee Shop Cup Sleeve is a very quick and easy knit for any level of knitter. I am a seriously slow knitter and can crank one of these babies out in an hour or less. It’s a great knit for when you need a quick gift but want to add a bit of handmade love to it. Or if you want to make a few for your own personal reusable cups.
This pattern can be made with either a DK or Worsted weight yarn of your choice. It’s perfect for scrap yarn!
There is no strict gauge for this pattern. If you are a tight knitter you may want to go up a needle size or two for the cast on and two rows of the ribbing, as well as switching to the larger needle for the last two rows of ribbing and bind-off. This is especially handy if you’re using cotton that has less give and stretch to it.
I personally like to use cotton or cotton blend for its durability and washableness (made that word up just now).
Materials Needed:
• 13g of Worsted or DK weight yarn
• US 7/4.50 Double Pointed Needles or 16” or larger circular needles
• 1 stitch markers
• Tapestry needle
