This pattern uses a simple stitch repeat to create a highly textured, 3d, chunky cowl. This makes the Connected Cowl incredibly warm. The stitches work together to create a beautiful net like pattern, each stitch reaching out to connect with the others.
This purchase is for the add-free, printable Connected Cowl pattern. The pattern is also available as a free on my website: https://doradoes.co.uk/portfolio/connected-cowl-free-croc...

Skill Level
Although this looks quite complex, the pattern is a 2 row stitch repeat and really very simple when you get used to it!  It’s suitable for those with some experience as it works round front posts but once you get the hang of it, it’s really very easy!

Materials
Hook: 5.5mm.  I crochet loose so you may want to move up to a 6mm for this
Yarn: one 140g, 250yd skein of worsted weight yarn. I used Lion Brand Heartland in Acadia.
Other: Yarn needle to sew in your ends.

Sizing
Circumference: 23in, Length: 9in
Gauge details are given in the pattern but it is not vital to meet the exact gauge for this project, so long as the cowl fits comfortably round the neck

You can keep working extra rows to make this longer, or add multiples of 6 to the foundation chain to make it looser, depending on the size and fit you are looking for. Gauge is not vital in this project.
