The Crisscross Ribbed Sweater
The Crisscross Ribbed Sweater is a seamless, drop-shoulder sweater design worked from the top down. The pattern includes both charted instructions and written instructions for the rib and 1/1 cable pattern. The body and sleeves can be easily modified for length.
Available in children’s sizes for 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14 years old with positive ease to create a chest circumference of 27.6, 29.1, 32, 34.9, 36.4, 37, 39.3 inches (70, 74, 81.25, 88.5, 92.5, 94, 100 cm).
Gauge: 22 x 30 = 4 x 4 inches in pattern.
Yarn: Sandnes Garn Double Sunday (50g = 118 yards) or equivalent DK weight yarn. You will need 221, 267, 335, 398, 433, 459, 513 grams or 523, 631, 790, 940, 1022, 1083, 1210 yards (478, 577, 723, 860, 935, 991, 1108 meters).
This is an intermediate pattern. You should have a basic understanding of knit stitches and sweater construction (casting on, picking up stitches, working in the round, Italian Bind Off, texture stitches, etc). It utilizes 2 stitch cables, which can be done with or without a cable needle.
