This toque is super cozy and versatile in 1x1 rib with a double folded brim. It’s been knit for a 22” head but should easily go up or down in size because of the stretch in the rib pattern. If you want to modify the pattern for a child, I recommend reducing in increments of 8 sts, as that is how the crown decreases are spaced.
