The Elkhorn
Take an introductory 20% off with code ELKHORN20 Offer ends Monday, December 15th at midnight Eastern time.
The Elkhorn is a rugged and roomy (but not oversized) set-in sleeve, crew neck sweater that features a rolled neck, cuff, and hem. It is designed as a bulky-weight gauge sweater that will be ideal to wear as a piece of outerwear to keep you well-insulated for cool-weather outings.
This pattern includes 20 sizes with a finished chest circumference of 34” to 72” (86.5 to 183 cm). This pattern also features gender-inclusive sizing. For each of these 20 sizes, two sizes are graded based on shoulder widths, which is one of the primary ways bodies proportionally vary for those with the same chest size.
A set-in sleeve construction means that The Elkhorn is easily worn under a coat. Slightly oversized shoulders adds a rugged touch that will look just as good on the slopes as it will the lodge. Two different upper arm circumference instructions for each chest size allow for further customization based on yarn drape and personal preference.

Construction
The Elkhorn is knitted seamlessly from the top-down. First, the back is worked flat with shaped shoulders, after the back yoke panel is shaped., the front yoke panels are picked up directly along the back panel. The crew neck is then shaped and the front panels continue through the underarm. After this, the body is worked in-the-round through the hem. The sleeve cap is picked up around the armholes and shaped using short rows and then worked in-the-round to the cuff.
