The Signature Knit Polo Collection is here to help you realize your ideal knit polo. The collection comprises two patterns: The Classic Knit Polo is the polo you know and love, it features a button placket. The Modern Knit Polo embraces a more recent trend of polos that feature an open button-less placket.

This pattern is JUST The Modern Knit Polo. For $1 more you can purchase The Signature Knit Polo Collection which includes The Classic Knit Polo as well. You can purchase it at this link: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/the-signature-knit-polo-collection

The Modern Knit Polo is a set-in-sleeve pullover worked seamlessly from the top-down. First, the back is worked flat with shaped shoulders. Then front panels are then worked with shaping for both the collar and then the buttonless open placket is shaped. The body is connected and worked in-the-round. Sleeves caps are shaped using short-rows and then the sleeves are worked in-the-round.

The Modern Knit Polo includes 20 sizes with a finished chest circumference of 32” to 70” (81.5 to 178 cm). This pattern also features gender-inclusive sizing. For each of these 20 sizes, two sizes are graded based on shoulder widths, which is one of the primary ways bodies proportionally vary for those with the same chest size. This means there are 40 unique sizes in this pattern.

Choose to make the Narrow Shoulder size if the recipient finds that the shoulders on womenswear garments fits them well or the shoulders of menswear garments are too wide. Make the Broad Shoulder size if the recipient finds that the shoulders on menswear garments fits them well or the shoulders on womenswear garments are too narrow.

This pattern includes lots of options. The polo is one of the most iconic piece of menswear and basically every ready-to-wear fashion label has put out their own version of it. The Signature Knit Polo Collection is intended to empower you to make your own unique and ideal polo.

Here is list of all the options presented in the pattern:

  • 6 different cup sizes for horizontal bust darts for those with 2” (5 cm) of difference or greater between their upper bust and full chest.
  • 3 different placket widths
  • 3 different placket lengths
