Crochet Pocket Scarf/ Shawl. This is a PDF pattern to make this fun crochet pocket scarf/shawl. This is The Hazel Bobble design that is designed with beginners in mind. This scarf is a beginner-ish pattern, using basic stitches, but also includes descriptive pictures to aide in understanding. You will need a basic understanding of crochet stitches. The pocket scarf/shawl is trendy and makes a great gift! This pattern works up fast and is a made using one and and half skeins of Lion Brand’s Pound of Love. The bobble stitches help create a detailed and fun texture look. The detail allows for a fashion forward style, and can be customized to any length or added fringe.

You will make the scarf and two pockets. The pattern has detail explanations on attaching the pockets. Pictures of each step is included with the pattern. The pattern is written for a 67 in length scarf and 20 inch wide. The width gives it an extra cozy feel. But you can customize the length the chain will create the length and the width is designed per rows. Personally, I liked the extra wide design to wear as a wrap. I used the 6.5mm hook and adjusting hook size would be an simple way to maintain the rows and yet customizing width.

This is a pattern only and NOT the physical scarf

This pattern is written with beginners in mind, but the extra detail and pockets in the scarf/shawl will leave you with a very accomplished scarf. You should be able to make this scarf with ease if you have a basic understanding of crochet.

Most acrylic yarns will work for this pattern and using a size 4 weighted yarn to maintain a similar style used in pattern. This pattern uses one and half skeins of Lion brand Pound of Love (1,020 yards per skein) with enough yarn for scarf, pockets, fringe, with yarn left over for a matching scrunchie or hat!
