In Robin Hobb’s Farseer Series, Lady Patience is the eccentric wife of King-in-Waiting Prince Chivalry. After the death of her husband, she goes to Buckkeep Castle and uses her eccentricity to circumvent those in charge to create the Ivy Runners, who she uses for both espionage and helping those who have been attacked to rebuild. To prove they have come from the Lady of Buckkeep, each runner carries an ivy leaf from Lady Patience, who grows them and a multitude of herbs and flowers in her room in the castle. This scarf, with its ivy leaves and flowers, is a tribute to Lady Patience, the eccentric and beloved Lady of Buckkeep.

This scarf takes one skein of Miss Babs Tarte, a wonderfully soft yarn. The pattern includes instructions for using all of the skein of this yarn so there are no leftovers. To add a bit of sparkle, you bead the design!
