I created this marijuana leaf blanket as a custom design by request (sorry, no longer doing customs). I didn’t publish it publicly for a long time because it doesn’t really fit my ‘brand’ (if that’s even a thing).

I’m making it available now because it seems silly to leave it hiding on my desktop. I drew this pattern, and those that want it can have it.

As always, you’ll get two options for creating this piece. You can use interlocking crochet or overlay mosaic crochet. Both options come with the full written pattern and charts (the mosaic charts have x’s).

The Locked Filet Mesh (LFM) interlocking crochet method uses only chain spaces and double crochets to create a mesh; two colors are worked alternately which creates the pattern.

Mosaic crochet is single crochet and double crochet stitches. The double crochet stitches cover some of the other color’s single crochet stitches to create the design. My patterns instruct you to cut your yarn at the end of each row. The back is striped but often gives a faint impression of the pattern on the front (sort of like illusion knitting). For Interlocking Crochet

• Chart: 245 x 205
• Finished measurements approximately 61” x 51” / 156cm x 130cm
• 4.5 mm hook (US7)
• Worsted weight yarn (3600 - 3950 yards total)
  • Main color (MC) (black) – 1800 yards plus 300 for optional border
  • Accent color (AC) (green) – 1800 yards
• Gauge: 8 (dc, ch) x 8 rows = 4”

For Mosaic Crochet

• Chart: 241 x 201
• Finished measurements approximately 64” x 57” / 163cm x 146cm
• 5 mm hook (H-8)
• Worsted weight yarn (4300 - 4900 yards)
  • Main color (black) – 2100 yards
  • Contrasting color (green or multi-colored) – 2200 yards
  • Optional envelope border – 600 yards
• Gauge: 14 SC in BLO x 15 rows = 4”
