About this Pattern
At its most basic, this is a two-colour tubular scarf, that has a repetitive slip-stitch pattern, creating texture and the illusion of colour work.
I’ve knit two samples: one using leftover scraps of 4ply sock yarn; colours randomly thrown together. The second using a mini skein advent set to roughly fade colours together.
Whilst I’ve used mini skeins and scraps of yarn to create my two samples, you might want to experiment with using only two full skeins, or using scraps for your main colours and one skein of colour for your slip-stitch rows. Maybe you can experiment with using different types of fibre for different textures.

Skills Needed
You need to be able to cast on, bind off, knit, purl and knit in the round

Sizing
The sizing is customisable - knitting more or less of the pattern repeat will result in a longer or shorter scarf.
My scarf is 180cm in length from cuff to cuff. I used approx 210g of yarn.
For each block/section of colour, I used approx 15g of yarn for the main colour and 5g for the slip-stitch colour.

Gauge
36 stitches x 40 rows = 4” x 4” (10cm x 10cm) in stockinette pattern.
IMPORTANT: I am a very tight knitter, so if you just knit this without checking gauge, you are likely to run out of yarn! If you do not want to check gauge, please ensure you have more than 200g of yarn.

Yarn
Approx 210g of 4ply/Sock yarn. I used mini skeins and yarn scraps/leftovers.

Needles
3.75mm ChiaoGoo Fixed Circulars 12” (30cm). You could also use double pointed needles or magic loop method if you prefer.
