The Nexus Beanie is a fun and intuitive make! The pattern offers a choice of five different yarn weights: Aran/Worsted, Light Chunky, Chunky, Light Super Chunky and Super Chunky. The pattern is written for using two contrasting colours. Instructions are also given for reversing how these colours are used, or you can work the beanie in a single colour too. The pattern repeat is a multiple of two stitches over four rounds; the size can be adjusted accordingly if desired. This will alter the amount of yarn required.

Method ~ Knitted in the round from the bottom up, using the mosaic knitting technique. This means only one colour is used per round if knitting in multiple colours.

Skill Level ~ Adventurous beginner.

Finished Size ~ Approximately 23 cm/9” wide by 23 cm/9” tall to fit an adult head circumference of 56 cm/22”.

You can substitute any yarn providing you meet the gauge and achieve a suitable fabric.

Gauge ~
Gauge is given in pattern and knitted in the round using the recommended needle size for each yarn weight. Measurements should be taken unstretched and unblocked.

 Aran/Worsted ~ 18 sts and 32 rnds = 10 cm x 10 cm/4” x 4”. WPI - 11
 Light Chunky ~ 16 sts and 28 rnds = 10 cm x 10 cm/4” x 4”. WPI - 10
 Chunky ~ 14 sts and 26 rnds = 10 cm x 10 cm/4” x 4”.
