The final pattern in my ‘Originals’ collection, which are based on the very first designs I created for my hand-made knitwear company 10 years ago. This seamless top-down sweater for adults, uses a mix of small-scale stash-busting “Peerie” motifs juxta-supposed with a traditional all-over motif on the body and sleeves. Optional sleeve and body tapering is possible thanks to the clever insertion of decorative stripes along the sides and underarms.
An unusual and modern sweater, with a wink to traditional Fair Isle knitwear.
Chest circumference:
S = 104 cm
M =113 cm
L = 121.5 cm
XL = 130 cm
Yarn
Any fingering-weight yarn that knits to 28 stitches in 10 cm on 3-3.5 mm needles. I used
”Knit by Numbers” 4 ply by John Arbon Textiles, 400m per 100g (kits available at Loop London from autumn 2025!).
Alternative options:
“Zéphir” 100% Wool by Fonty ;
“Uncommon Everyday” 100% Superwash Merino wool by The Uncommon Thread , 400m per 100g (sample #2 by Hyeja, see page 14).
