This pattern is not for beginners and I strongly recommend that you get yourself acquainted with the basket weave pattern before you start. That will make it all much easier for you to comprehend.

The Princess Bat Wing Shawl is worked in rows back and forth (or half rounds) and is started with a magic circle in the middle of the upper edge.

The unusual shape of the shawl is due to the way you increase. Usually a shawl is triangular or quadrangular. This shape turned out to be quite beneficial as this shawl will remain on your shoulders for a long time while other shawls have a tendency of sliding off your shoulders.

It measures 78cm (vertical hight from tip to upper edge) 160cm (horizontal length along the upper edge). Those are measures after blocking.

Please note that the Danish version of this shawl is obsolete, it will be updated as soon as I get around to it. But the English versions (UK and US) are up to date.
