The Road to Perth shawl is a large shawl designed to use almost all of two skeins of fingering weight yarn (one of each colour) and is knit flat, written out in eight sections. Each section represents an hour of my journey from my home town of Lowestoft to Perth in Scotland, the trip that I will take to get to Perth Festival of Yarn.

This shawl is designed to fulfill my love of vanilla knits that have a little something more to them to keep my interest, but that ultimately I can still knit in front of the TV.

As an accessory, you can knit this shawl at a gauge of your choice without worrying too much about fit, but remember that if your gauge is much larger than that in the pattern then you may run out of yarn.

Once soaked and laid flat to block my shawl measured 212cm wide and 52cm deep but depending on your yarn and personal preference you can lay out your shawl to the dimensions it lays out at best.
