A simple but versatile pattern for a beanie constructed with weight 6 yarn using short-row techniques.

Weight 6 yarn and front-loop stitches mean this beanie works up very quickly. It’s a fast, rewarding pattern. Once you are familiar with how the pattern works, it can easily be completed in a few hours. Perfect for quick gifts or stash-busting.

Recommended hook size is 9mm, although 8mm and 10mm can be used to modify the fit of the beanie.

Pattern is easily modified to create a longer cuffed beanie if desired.

In lieu of weight 6 yarn, you can use multiple strands of thinner yarn. 3 strands of light worsted, or 1 strand aran + 1 strand weight 5 tend to work very well with this pattern.
