This was a beautiful Hat to make, the Sand wind cable is a lovely and easy stitch to knit, making this a fun and easy pattern for an experienced knitter.

I made the size to be flexible, but if you wanted a specific size, my best advice would be to alter the pattern, using the gauge as a reference for how many inches you’d like to use.

I regard to the gauge, I would make one with additional framing stitches so you can see the numbers of stitch as clearly as possible.
