This shawl design was born out of a desire to wrap myself in the glorious colors of Noro Silk Garden Sock Yarn. I wanted an easy design that would work up fast, despite the small gauge.

The key to the success of this shawl design is the narrow contrasting bands of solid color. The white and orange stand out against the earthy blues and greens of the main yarns, defining the shape of the shawl.

I encourage you to use this pattern as a launching pad for your own unique shawl. Use your precious single skeins of hand-dyed sock yarn to create a wrap you’ll treasure. Just be sure you choose solid colors for your accent stripes – white or cream (color C) and a sharply contrasting pop color (color B). It’s this bold touch that elevates the design beyond the ordinary.

Thanks so much for your interest!

Happy stitching,
Ladianne
