We all wonder how honey bees know what they know. How do they build the perfect hexagons to form the honeycomb? How do they produce wax and honey? How do they know how to navigate away from the nest and back? Bees are truly marvels of nature and biology.

~Pattern updated for two sizes October 2019~

The Secrets of Bees shawl, crocheted with fingering weight yarn, is based on a honeycomb stitch pattern that is an easy one-row repeat, and is finished off with a one-row, flower dangle trim. The pattern is easy to memorize and provides for a very relaxing crochet project.

The Secrets of Bees shawl can be made in either a small or a large size.

I recommend a solid tonal yarn, such as Manos del Uruguay Fino, or a light speckle yarn such as Knit Picks Hawthorne Speckle.

If you are looking for an open, airy and lightweight crochet shawl, The Secrets of Bees is for you! And, this shawl is quick to crochet and is great for gifting.
