“The Summer Lace Dress” features a lacy yoke top, short sleeves, round neckline edge, with a slightly flared skirt. The sleeves, the neckline and the bottom of the dress are finished with a rolled edge.
This seamless dress is knitted top down using Sublime extra fine merino DK. The knitting pattern is easy to follow, you begin with the simple neckline.
The big advantage of working top down is that you can adjust the length of the dress and sleeves to suit your needs.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. MATERIALS REQUIRED:
• 15x 50g balls (1740m or 1905yds) using Sublime extra fine merino DK. NB If you substitute another yarn, please check tension and yardage.
• 1 Circular needle 3.50mm x length 50cm (US 4).
• 1 Circular needle 3.50mm x length 80 cm (US 4).
• 1 Circular needle 4.00 mm x length 120cm (US 6).
• 1 Tapestry needle.
• 1 Stitch Marker.
• 2 Stitch holders.
ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS:
One size: M (the knitted fabric is stretchy).
Dress length (from top of the shoulders) - 99cm (39ins). Dress flat width (just below armhole) - 40cm (15.7ins). Sleeve length (from top of shoulders) - 23cm (9.01ins). Sleeve flat width (just below armhole) - 14cm (5.5ins).
