This crescent shaped shawl is an interesting but easy knit. The drop stitch rows create interest and texture, and creates a large lofty shawl.

Any skein of hand dyed 4-ply yarn can be used for this shawl - but it looks particularly good in a silk blend, due to the lovely drape resulting from the silk.

You will need a 4.5mm circular needle for this pattern. Make sure you use a long cable - the stitch count increases very quickly, and you soon run out of space on straight needles!

“The Torrs” pattern was Inspired by the industrial heritage of the Peak District - particularly the area around New Mills. The pattern was first released as part of Derbyshire Open Arts festival in 2017.
