A classic 2x2 ribbed beanie with detailed, tailored decreases and 2 strands of mohair held together with worsted weight yarn for an extra cozy and snug beanie.

For the adult size, you will use nearly all of the 284 yards in the skein of Berroco Aerial, so if you are knitting the adult size in a mohair with less yardage, you may want to get 2 skeins. Regardless of the size you’re making, 1 100g skein of worsted weight yarn will be plenty.

Sizes: Child (Adult)

Needles: US size 7 (4.5mm) 16” circular needle and DPNs
Or size needed to obtain gauge

Yarn: 1 Skein Malabrigo Rios 210yds/100g Color: Fog
1 skein Berroco Aerial 284yds/25g Color: Driftwood

Gauge (With all 3 strands held together):
4sts = 1” in stockinette stitch

Notes on the Pattern:
This hat is worked with 3 strands held together, 1 worsted weight and 2 strands of mohair. Depending on the yardage of your mohair skein, you may just need 1 skein or you may need 2 for the adult size. If you just need one, most mohair comes rolled in such a way that you can pull simultaneously from the inside and outside with minimal tangling.
