Inspired by Tudor fashion and the luxurious dresses, with her feminine square neckline, exuberant exaggerated sleeves, ribbed cuffs and a lace weight peplum to allude to the skirt of the dresses.

Sizing

XS/S/M/L/XL

I have a large bust for my frame so the blouse hugs my form a little tighter in the photographs as I wanted to stick to my overall dress size while keeping the sizing within standard sizing. The blouse ideally should have a little positive ease around the bust hence the sizing below. If you want a tighter fit around the bust then size down or use smaller needles.

Bust: 92-100/98-106/104-112/110-118/115-123cm
Waist: 70-74/75-79/80-84/85-89/90-94cm
Length: tailored

What you need:

5mm circular needles (80cm)
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle
Scrap yarn

Yarn: I used Sirdar hayfield DK and the cuffs and neckline are knit with the stated DK yarn and 1 strand of Rowan Fine lace. The peplum is knit with 2 strands fine lace. You can use any that fits the gauge. Though this is a DK weight yarn it’s a little bulkier than most DK so the gauge is bigger than I usually work. If you find the gauge doesn’t fit to your DK yarn then you can opt to knit with the dk and lace together throughout or use a worsted weight. Though it’s a blouse it’s a heavier garment and this keeps its structure well.

Yarn quantities: 350/350/400/400/450g or
1050/1050/1200/1200/1350m of dk weight.

The lace weight is less than 1 25g skein for all sizes.
