This open, mesh poncho is worked in the round, from the top down and is perfect for a summer evening. The pattern is written in US terms and is suitable for an experienced beginner.

The pattern uses the following stitches:
Chain
Slip Stitch
Single Crochet
Double Crochet
Treble Crochet
Double Treble Crochet.

Instructions are included for making a treble and a double treble stitch. There are accompanying photographs with the pattern.

The poncho in the photographs is made using approximately one and a quarter skeins (500-550m) of sock weight superwash merino and nylon blend yarn in the colourway “Pirate Wench” by Dye Candy www.facebook.com/dyecandylab. Any sock weight, 4ply or fingering weight yarn would be suitable.
