The Zoe Sweater is cosy and oversized, knitted from the bottom up on circular needles. This pattern uses mock fisherman’s rib stitch to create a chunky rib which looks similar to brioche, but is easier and quicker to knit.

The body is knitted in the round, then separated to work the front and back neck and shoulders. Stitches are picked up around the neck for the collar, and finally stitches are picked up for the sleeves which are also knitted in the round using the magic loop technique.

Note on counting your rows. In mock fisherman’s rib stitch, each knitted ‘V’ stitch (RS of work) is 2 rows, because you knit into the stitch below to create one ‘V’. The stitch is explained fully in the pattern.

Size Guide

The sweater will have approximately 5” to 7” of positive ease. To help you choose which size is right for you, I have included the suggested bust measurement range for each size as well as the circumference of the finished garment after blocking.

From the inside edge of the collar to the bottom of the finished jumper will measure 16” for sizes XS and S, and 17 ½” for sizes M and L. If you would like to make the jumper longer, remember to buy an extra ball of yarn!
