Do you love brioche?
Do you love lace, as in open work lace?
How about optional beads???

THISTLE is a brioche lace rectangular scarf. Similar to traditional lace, this design introduces brioche open work, which includes yarn overs (YOs) along with increases and decreases. In this design, I am introducing a new technique which is optimized for making the floats (horizontal space between yarn overs) as compact as possible - For more interest, you can add beads at the base of the thistle flower!!

Pattern includes a separate file for a swatch to practice brioche open work. Video Tutorial is available here.

Many thanks to Nancy Marchant, who inspired me to tackle brioche open work lace!
