Thistledown mimics the fluffy downy that encompasses the thistle to protect its fruit. Feathery soft and wrapped in a beautiful halo.

The stretchy thistle stitch creates a plump & cushy fabric. When knit in alpaca or merino wool, it is exceptionally warm but light and airy when knit up in a cooler fiber such as cotton or linen.

Hat will measure a standard adult size head but can easily be adjusted to fit smaller size heads by casting on fewer stitches.
