CONSTRUCTION:
The Through The Looking Glass Socks are knitted from the top down with original pattern of yarn floats. These socks have a heel flap, a French heel and gusset and a wedge toe. The pattern on the left and right socks is mirrored.
The pattern is written for the magic loop method and for two weights yarn: 4ply and 6ply.

Foot circumference: 19 (21.5, 24) / 7.5(8.5, 9.5) cm / inch.
Leg length (cm / inch) – adjustable.
Foot length, cm– adjustable.
Foot circumference to be worn with negative ease up to 0.5–1” / 1.5–2.5 cm

Yarns:
6ply: Coop Knit Sock Yeah! DK (75% merino wool, 25% polyamide), 112 m — 50 g, colorway 215 Sphene, 2 skein, or other 6 ply sock yarn with merino wool, for example, Sandnes Garn KLOMPELOMPE SPOT.

4ply: Gruendl Hot Socks Pearl mit Kaschmir uni (75% merino wool, 20% polyamide, 5% cashmere), 210 m — 50 g, colorway 16, 2 skein, or other 4 ply sock yarn with merino wool, for example, Filcolana Arwetta.

Needles:
6ply: US 4 / 3.5 mm and US 2.5 / 3 mm at least 32” / 80 cm long circular needles or size to obtain gauge for magic loop method.

4ply: US 1.5 / 2.5 mm and US 1 / 2.25 mm at least 32” / 80 cm long circular needles or size to obtain gauge for magic loop method.

GAUGE:
6ply: 26 sts x 32 rnds to 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, knitted in the rnd, after blocking.

4ply: 32 sts x 44 rnds to 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, knitted in the rnd, after blocking.

TECHNIQUES USED:
German Twisted cast-on, knit and purl stitches, Kitchener stitch, lifted increases, decreases, picking up stitches of heel flap, requires reading of charts.
