The Tiger Earflap Hat is a beginner-friendly double crochet earflap hat with crocheted tiger appliques and braided ties. Sized from newborn to teen, it’s a great pattern for craft fair makers and anyone with a tiger-loving kid to stitch for.

The hat is worked top-down in double crochet rounds. Earflaps are worked in rows directly off the last round, and the whole hat is edged in black single crochet. Ears are worked in continuous sc rounds with color changes. The muzzle, nose, cartoon eyes, and graduated-height stripes (sl st up through tr and back down) are worked separately and sewn on. The braided ties are added through the bottom of each earflap.
