When I sit at my desk - more often the kitchen table, because it’s bigger and I like to take up space - and work, I always have a notepad and pen or pencil next to me. I fill pages and pages with doodles while I think and work, constructing intricate shapes and lines that perfectly meld into each other and usually end up looking like they should be turned into a knitting pattern. Turns out they really needed to be turned into knitting patterns, so I took my favourite doodles and created the Tinker Doodle Collection. The Tinker Doodle Cowl is the first pattern in the collection, a double loop cowl that looks great just draped around your neck - but my favourite way to wear it is in a double loop for a snug and wind-proof fit.

This pattern includes notes for a single loop worsted version.
